On 3 April 1954 the product of an unlikely union first took to the track, at Snetterton in Norfolk. The Lister-MG sports racing car, driven by a Scottish amateur who made his living as a travelling salesman, stormed through to win. The driver was Archie Scott Brown and he was dreadfully disabled. Over the next five years he won 71 major races, 44 of them in Cambridge-built Lister cars. This book, named ‘Book of the Year’ by
Classic & Sports Car magazine, tells the story of that memorable partnership.
